You certainly can’t call her predictable: Just when we were perfecting our Miranda Lambert fishtail braid, the country superstar went and chopped it all off. Now we’ve got another Lambert do to add to our “must try” list.
Lambert, 30, appeared at a Nashville bash celebrating the platinum status of her single “Automatic” wearing a pretty pink ’50s-inspired party dress and a string of pearls (appropriately for a single that talks about how great things were in the good ol’ days) — plus a super cute, short new do. She teased it to the heavens to go with her retro “theme,” but it’s obvious that the chin-grazing cut and sweeping new bangs will work just as well when she runs out the door with a wash-and-wear style as they do when she breaks out the hairspray and rattail comb.
The star has had a big year, stylewise — she glammed up, slimmed down and started her own shoe line, and her new cut is the perfect punctuation to her head-turning new look. She’s experimented with shorter strands in the past before returning to extensions (helpful for the amount of hair whipping she does on stage), but this bob is so cute we hope she lets it stick around for a while.
